Children will be who they want to be.  Sylvia has decided she wants to be a police officer when she grows up, so I left work early yesterday and we visited the police station.  Here she is, asking me if I need to be taken to jail.  A lot of times it’s cute, but sometimes I wish she was more interested in something like horses or even firefighters.  I remember though as a little kid being fascinated with WWII through the Bill Mauldin comics.  I guess that is the difficult part of parenting: realizing that your kids are their own people and they are bound to inherit some of your own flaws.

I’m keeping an eye on the Epee World Championships.  Nice to see Eric Boisse poised to take the gold!  I just love his style.

Presenting…(drumroll), the amazing blog of my lovely wife.  She even posted a picture I wouldn’t have dared post, but I like it.  It captures our family life.  Sylvia making a face and being obstinate.  My wife tired, and Meredith just eating and sleeping, and me running around with my latest toy (a camera) amusing myself.
